The Standard, Splayed and Fold Down Rail suits most people who are living independently, providing the necessary bilateral rail support for lowering onto and rising from the toilet. These rails have the distinct advantage of being close to where they are needed-not attached to the surrounding walls! They are considered safer and therefore superior to the over chairs, which are not fixed and thus do not provide secure rigid support.
Other users are able to access the toilet without having to remove the rails.
